STEP ONE: CHOOSING YOUR SESSION TYPE

To begin, share with us the kind of photoshoot you're interested in: family, cake smash, maternity, newborn, portrait, couple, pre-wedding, graduation, and more. Prices vary slightly depending on the session type and whether it's at your place or outdoors. We'll then send you a tailored pricing guide. Feel free to ask any questions about the packages and what they include. Remember, you don't have to decide on a package just yet. You can decide on the number of photos you want to purchase after your session, once you've seen your gallery.

STEP TWO: SELECTING DATE AND TIME

Next, we'll work together to find the perfect date and time for your session. Once we've got that set, keep an eye on your email – we'll send you a contract with all the important stuff, like rescheduling, payment details, and how long it takes to get your photos ready. It's all about making sure you're comfortable and informed every step of the way.

STEP THREE: SESSION FEE

We charge a session fee which covers the photographer's time and creativity in creating a beautiful collection of images for you to choose from. Please note, the session fee doesn't include digital files or prints. When you pay the session fee, you secure your chosen date and time.

STEP FOUR: CHOOSING YOUR LOCATION

Now, let's talk about where your session will take place. Whether it's outdoors, in the comfort of your home, or even in a studio*, we've got options! If you have a specific vision, feel free to share sample photos or a Pinterest board. You can also draw inspiration from our Sara Photography Instagram or Facebook. If you're not sure, don't worry – we're here to assist by offering suggestions. For outdoor shoots, we'll recommend suitable locations based on your suburb. Keep in mind, for some spots like farms or beaches, a travel fee may apply depending on the photographer's travel distance. *Extra fee applies for studio sessions.

STEP FIVE: PLANNING FOR PERFECTION

Planning ahead is really important! Think about how you'd like to display your images, whether through wall art and/or albums. Consider the colour pallet of your outfits and the location and how they match your home decor. It's super helpful to discuss your final product preferences at this stage. We're here to make sure you look great in your photos! Before the session, we'll talk to you about what to wear, and it won't cost you anything extra. You can also borrow outfits from our collection for free. We have lovely dresses for mums-to-be, adorable clothes for both kids and mums, hats, and hair accessories. For those graduating from UQ and QUT universities, we also have graduation full set gowns available.

STEP SIX: YOUR SESSION DAY

It's time for your session – the moment you've been waiting for! No worries, we've been doing this for years, so you're in good hands. Click on "what we do" section on our website to learn more about our style and what to expect during your session.

STEP SEVEN: MAKING YOUR CHOICES

A few weeks after your session, we'll gather at our Middle Park location for your ordering appointment. This appointment offers a fantastic viewing experience, and we strongly recommend selecting your preferred photos and print products during this session. It's the perfect opportunity to admire all your stunning photos and explore sample products. This is when you'll decide on the packages that suit you best. Here you pick your favourites and make payments for the images and products you adore. For those unable to attend the in-person viewing session, we also offer the option of an online gallery, which includes watermarked images. This allows you to make your selections remotely.

STEP EIGHT: RECEIVING YOUR CAPTURED JOY

Your finished wall art, prints, albums, or edited digital files are ready to bring joy to you and your loved ones.
