Terms and Conditions

By booking a session with Sara Photography, you agree to the terms outlined below. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.

1. Booking & Confirmation

A booking is only confirmed once the session fee has been received in full. The session date and time are reserved exclusively for the client after payment is made. Verbal discussions, enquiries, or informal agreements do not secure a booking.

2. Session Fee

The session fee covers:

• Your session time
• A pre-shoot consultation
• Creation of a gallery of images for you to choose from

By booking, the client agrees to pay this session fee at the time of booking to secure the appointment date and time. This is a non-refundable retainer fee that goes toward your session.

The session fee does NOT cover any files, prints, or products.

3. Rescheduling & Cancellation

If illness or another situation prevents a session from going ahead, one complimentary reschedule is permitted, provided the client gives at least 10 days’ notice.

• If the client fails to give 10 days’ notice, or decides to cancel the session entirely, the session fee is forfeited and will not be refunded.
• Rescheduled sessions must take place within three months of the original session date. Prices are subject to change after this period.

Weather Rescheduling: Given the unpredictable nature of outdoor photography, the photographer closely monitors weather conditions in the lead-up to your session. If weather prevents the session from proceeding safely or as planned, the session will be rescheduled at no additional cost.

The photographer reserves the right to reschedule a session due to illness, weather, equipment malfunction, or other circumstances beyond her control.

4. Travel Fee

Sara Photography is based in Middle Park. Travel to one nearby location is included in the session fee. A travel fee may apply for locations further away, and will be confirmed with the client prior to booking. This fee is non-refundable and due at the time of booking.

5. Weekend / Public Holiday Fee

An additional $50 fee applies to sessions held on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. This fee is non-refundable and due at the time of booking. Some weekends may not be subject to the weekend fee. Please discuss this with Sara Photography before booking your session.

6. Late Arrivals & Extra Time

If a client arrives late to their session, the amount of time missed will be deducted from the original session length and the end time of the session will not be extended to compensate.

Additional time beyond the originally booked session duration may be purchased, subject to availability.

Please note extensions are generally not feasible during afternoon sessions due to lighting limitations, and all extra time is subject to the photographer’s availability on the day.

7. Turnaround Time & Viewing Session

Photos will be ready for viewing within 10 business days of the session (excluding weekends and public holidays).

Gallery proofs will be shared with the client via an online meeting or in-person viewing session. 

Where a live meeting genuinely isn’t possible, an online proofing gallery may be provided instead. 

8. Changes to These Terms

Sara Photography may update these terms from time to time. Clients will be bound by the terms in effect at the time of their booking.
